Thus it woiuld be best to fix it in the long run. I upgraded from cubase 5 to cubase 6. Importing mp3 is not possible on my Macbook Pro cubase 6 64bit.

However, it works when installing cubase 6 on windows 7. BTW I just installed my upgrade to Cubase 6 from 5 and I have the same notice period for the mp3 encoder… That is obviously a Steinberg mistake. I am just wondering, why does it take so long to fix?..

Are you using 32 bit or 64 bit Cubase? If 64 bit, the built in VST bridge may not work for some 32 bit plug-ins. For those there is a free demo of jBridge available on the internet Google it that should fix those.

And then, you cannot update your software to any other version, even Maintenance update. Im all new to this. Remove all. Then start Cubase and see if the plugin appears.
